At RedMedEd, we're big believers in the value of continuing medical education, but we also think that a lot of the CME that's out there is predictable and stale.
When all is said and done, CME is only as effective as it is memorable. So we use our interactive learning platforms to ensure that our exceptional content comes alive in a way that will be remembered and brought into practice.
We’re unrivaled when it comes to identifying clinical practice gaps and designing educational initiatives to effectively bridge them. With our expertise across a range of therapeutic areas, we develop CME/CE activities that are fresh, rigorous, and always focused on one essential goal: improved patient outcomes. Our innovative, proprietary gamification and interactive learning platforms deliver content in a way learners find fun, engaging, memorable, and useful. And we are diligent and thorough in assessing the impact our activities have on changing the knowledge, competence, and performance of our learners.
A critical component of developing CME that crackles is knowing who your learners are and understanding what it takes to reach them, and the RedMedEd team has been doing it for years. The learners we’ve reached include practitioners of all types:
|• Primary care physicians||• Nurse practitioners|
|• Clinical specialists||• Registered nurses|
|• Fellows||• Pharmacists|
|• Physician assistants|
We know that it’s not just the message but the method that matters, so implementing the learning format that will connect with—and enthrall—our learners is a challenge we take seriously. But regardless of shape or format, our activities are carefully crafted to meet the needs of our learners, and they are flawlessly executed. Always.
|• Satellite symposia||• Journal-based||• Online|
|• Regional workshops||• Newsletters/monographs||• iPad/tablet-based|
|• Conferences||• Pocket guides||• Mobile apps|
RedMedEd offers groundbreaking educational platforms, but our foundation is solidly rooted in a clear understanding of the scientific principles at the core of medical education. Our team has extensive experience educating learners across a range of therapeutic areas, including:
|• Allergy||• Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)|
|• Asthma/COPD||• Men's health|
|• Cardiovascular disease||• Neurology|
|• Dermatology||• Osteoporosis|
|• Diabetes/cardiometabolic risk||• Pain (chronic, neuropathic)|
|• Endocrinological disorders||• Pediatrics|
|• Hematology/oncology||• Rheumatology|
|• Infectious disease||• Women’s health|
At RedMedEd, increasing the knowledge of our learners is not enough: our goal is to increase learner knowledge in a way that translates meaningfully for their patients.
To deliver the education our learners want and their patients need, we rely on painstakingly researched needs assessments, flawless implementation of educational initiatives, and exhaustive analysis of learner data.
For our educational initiatives we prepare a publication-quality report that presents both in-depth analysis of our activity’s influence and at-a-glance, infographics-based data on demographics, participant satisfaction, and learner knowledge, confidence, and competence.
Learners retain information better when it actively engages them. That's where RedMedEd's proprietary platforms come in. Developed with the principles of effective adult learning firmly in mind, our gaming and interactive learning designs give our activities a vitality that captivates our learners and makes the content compelling and memorable.
Recreating the settings that our learners are accustomed to working in, RedMedEd Virtual Practices are dimensional simulations of entire health care facilities. Hospital? Clinic? Private practice? Pharmacy? We build those.
These familiar settings provide the opportunity for immediate hands-on application of our educational content. Learners see patients in the exam room, consult with associates in the conference room, check tests in the lab, and receive instruction from "visiting" clinical experts in the auditorium.
We take practice makes perfect a step further: practice makes perfect practice.
RedMedEd e-learning modules provide flexible, self-paced methods of education that motivate clinically focused learners and give them the practice, feedback, and resources they need to solve the problems facing them on the front lines of patient care.
E-learning approaches have been shown to achieve greater levels of performance improvement, but perhaps as important is that an ever-increasing percentage of clinicians prefer e-learning formats. We’re just giving the people what they want.
Designed as standalone applications or incorporated into live activities, RedMedEd games bring our content to life and get learners' competitive juices flowing, increase learner engagement, inspire greater personal investment in the material, and boost learner retention.
Our gaming platforms also provide a window into learners’ clinical competence and confidence, helping us identify areas where additional educational interventions are needed.
RedMedEd's Day in the Life extends the concept of the virtual patient by providing a firsthand, first-person perspective of the everyday realities of living with a medical condition.
In a Day in the Life activity, learners face challenging daily situations that require decisions based on a virtual patient's medical condition and surroundings. At crucial points in the simulation, a virtual doctor provides insight and guidance to help learners understand how to better manage the medical condition.
Our team has been working together, delivering exceptional educational programs, for more than a decade. Our passion for our work stems from a shared conviction that effective CME is vital to helping clinicians deliver the best possible care to patients, a belief that CME has not kept pace with advances in technology or clinicians' preferred models of learning, and a genuine enjoyment of working together.

Jon plies 20+ years of experience in medical editing to ensuring the relevance, accuracy, and eloquence of everything that crosses his desk. His background in medical education is extensive and covers a wide range of therapeutic areas and media, including live, Web-based, mobile, and print (including several years with the Merck Manuals).
